Distribution Power Worker (Line Worker/Cable Jointer)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Line Worker/Cable Jointer for the role we call 'Power Worker'.
A Power Worker is more than just a crew member; we are highly skilled and competent tradespeople working on every aspect of the energy grid from Generation to Metering.
Our tight-knit team carries out network upgrades, maintenance, and customer-funded projects safely, efficiently, and professionally, right across the Pilbara.
In this role, you'll have the chance to grow your career by gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like Stand Alone Power Systems (SPS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
You'll also have opportunities for professional development, including CT Metering, Leadership Qualifications, Machinery Operations, Planned Switching, and Network Fault response.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Port Hedland.
Your role will include: Completing work in accordance with relevant instructions and standardsCompletion of data and commissioning sheets (paper and electronic)Taking part in an afterhours On-Call roster (troubleshooting and resolving issues related to power distribution systems)Operating plant and equipment in accordance with qualifications and standardsCollaborating with other team members to complete projects safely and efficientlyAdhering to all safety protocols, regulation, policies & proceduresYou will have: Certificate III Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) - Distribution Powerline qualification or Australian Line Worker Trade qualification equivalentCert III Cable JoiningHR Drivers Licence as a minimum (and be prepared to transfer to a WA Heavy Vehicle Licence)White CardHigh Risk Licences: EWP/WP, Forklift (FL), Dogman (DG), Rigging (RB), Vehicle Heavy Rigid (HR)Current First Aid/Senior First Aid & CPRHigh Voltage Glove and Barrier QualificationHigh Voltage / Low Voltage Cable Jointing QualificationC2 Crane HRWLLow Voltage & High Voltage Switching qualifications and experienceOur employees enjoy real rewards and recognition including: 5 weeks annual leaveAdditional 3 days of Private Leave13 weeks long service leave after 7 years of continuous servicePaid parental leave for primary and secondary caregiversSpecial family leave of up to 10 days paid, non-cumulativeProfessional Development opportunitiesOur workplace culture is created through every interaction, every experience, and everything we do.
