Senior Workers Compensation Pay Advisor Location: Burwood East and other locations in Melbourne

Key Duties Process and manage workers compensation payments across multiple sites, ensuring all affected staff are paid accurately and on timeInterpret and ensure adherence to relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and legislative requirementsPerform reconciliations and maintain accurate records for audit purposesConfigure and maintain auto pay settings for ongoing workers compensation paymentsMaintain effective relationships with the payroll team, People & Culture, and external stakeholders including our Work Cover insurerProvide technical advice on complex workers compensation payment mattersAnalyse and verify accuracy of all payroll information and maintain an in-depth understanding of payroll processingProvide solutions to create efficient sharing of data with absence of a systemConduct system audits to ensure robust internal controls and risk mitigationEnsure accurate PAYG reporting and compliance for workers compensation paymentsTo be successful in these roles you will possess the following: Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing, specifically related to workers compensationStrong understanding of workers compensation governance and legislative requirementsComprehensive knowledge of payroll processes including auto pays, PAYG, tax implications, and general payroll administrationSound understanding of the financial implications of claims management and WorkCover premiumsDemonstrated technical knowledge of the Victorian workers' compensation frameworkExperience with computerized payroll systems and time and attendance softwareStrong expertise in payroll tax obligations and compliance requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyA focus on providing a positive customer experienceApply creative-thinking techniques to generate new ideas and optionsSpecialist / Technical / IT Expertise Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills including PowerPoint and WordAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly ExcelExperience with payroll systems and time and attendance softwareExperience with workers compensation payment systems.Support the identification of systems and process improvement initiatives, including new technologies where relevantEssential Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related disciplineRelevant payroll certification or equivalentExtensive experience in workers compensation paymentsOther Essential Requirements: Applicants must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or a Permanent ResidentEmployment subject to National Police Check clearancePre-employment Medical Declaration requiredThe successful candidate will join a team that embraces challenge, change and is passionate about making a positive impact on millions of Victorians.
