Your TeamThe Group Actuarial function is responsible for reserving, oversight of our capital adequacy framework and reinsurance strategy across Hollard.
As a central function we work closely with all our business areas, covering our entire product range, in both Commercial and Personal Lines in Australia and New Zealand.
We support the business by providing high level information on how their portfolio has performed, completing actuarial components of the statutory returns, presenting reserving, reinsurance and capital outcomes to the Board, the relevant sub-committees and management.
Your Role As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with over 15 actuarial and reinsurance professionals, and develop your actuarial knowledge and experience across Reserving, Capital and Reinsurance.
Your duties and responsibilities Perform actuarial analysis and support the wider actuarial function.Support the monthly and quarterly reserving, reinsurance and capital processes.Assist the Chief Actuary, Reserving actuaries and Capital actuaries in completing the AVR, FCR, ICAAP reports, and Board papers.Contribute to internal, external and regulatory reporting processes.Develop, implement and maintain actuarial models.Your knowledge and experience Your progress through actuarial exams will be viewed favourably.Experience in statistical, data programming such as Python, SQL, R, SAS is desirable.Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.Experience with the Australian general insurance industry and products is desired.Must have ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.Working at Hollard At Hollard, you will be part of a supportive, valued and committed team.
