Senior Occupational Therapist

About the role
Provide high level Occupational Therapy hand therapy services within Redcliffe Hospital.
Deliver direct clinical services in the outpatient and acute hospital setting at Redcliffe Hospital.
There is a requirement to function to a high level within the multidisciplinary team and support the continuum of care through liaison with external hand therapy specialist providers to achieve optimal service delivery.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver high level clinical Occupational Therapy services for hand therapy outpatients and inpatients at Redcliffe Hospital in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with minimal direct clinical supervision.
Undertake assessment, treatment and management of hand therapy patients, in a varied and complex caseload using a variety of formal and informal materials, procedures and techniques at a high level seeking appropriate clinical support as required.
Use and model authoritative counsel, advanced-level problem solving and critical thinking to resolve complex problems and facilitate independent clinical reasoning and professional judgement within hand therapy services in Redcliffe Hospital and work collaboratively with stakeholders internally and externally to support patient needs.
Support the comprehensive and efficient delivery of care through negotiating care components with other providers as required.
Incorporate safe clinical practice into daily work practices by implementing evidence-informed practice and conforming to requirements of workplace health and safety.
