Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for open pit mining?
Our client, a leading Geotechnical Engineering consultancy serving the mining industry, is seeking a talented professional to join their technical team in Perth.
About the Role: We are looking for a Mining Geotechnical Engineer to provide expert consultancy services for open pit mining projects.
This hybrid role combines office-based work in Perth with travel to various mine sites, offering a perfect blend of analytical work and hands-on field experience.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses for open pit minesDevelop and review slope designs and stability assessmentsProvide technical advice on ground control strategies and risk managementCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mining projectsPrepare detailed technical reports and presentationsLiaise with clients and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutionsContribute to business development initiativesRequirements: Full Australia working rightsBachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 2 years' experience in open pit geotechnical engineeringStrong knowledge of geotechnical principles and their application in miningProficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., Rocscience, Minescape, Vulcan)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding communication and report writing abilitiesWillingness to travel to mine sites as requiredWhat We Offer: Competitive salary packageOpportunity to work on diverse projects for local and international mining operationsProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesFlexible working arrangementsSupportive and collaborative team environmentIf you're ready to take your geotechnical engineering career to the next level and contribute to significant mining projects across Australia and beyond, we want to hear from you
