Senior Systems Administrator - 12 Month Fixed Term ContractThe Reserve Bank of Australia is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Systems Infrastructure team. The key objective of this role is to provide expert services responsible for the delivery of the Bank's projects in relation to planning, designing, building, testing, performance tuning, and ensuring operational readiness of the Bank's IT Infrastructure services.Responsibilities:Manage the service delivery, support, and proactive maintenance of the Bank's IT Infrastructure services and processes.Contribute towards maximising the availability and cyber protections of IT Infrastructure systems by enhancing resilience and recovery capabilities to minimise the impact of incidents.Deliver the required documentation, reporting, and data collection for asset management, audit, standard operations, and proactive management of the Bank's end-to-end IT infrastructure services and processes.Continuously improve systems to enhance the user experience, operate efficiently and cost-effectively, including maximising automation and orchestration of implementation and ongoing operations.This role is part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace (asset management, facilities management, building security, and procurement), and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank's policy, operational, and corporate objectives.This role is a hybrid position, split between the Sydney CBD office or our Bella Vista location and working from home.About You:7-10 years of demonstrated IT experience in a service delivery or system administration role.5-10 years of experience working with Windows Operating Systems (2012R2, 2016, and 2019) and RHEL (RHEL7 and RHEL8) or other Linux distributions. Experience in Windows Server OS systems administration/automation preferred.Functional understanding of server patching products and technologies, such as patching (Ivanti Lumension, Satellite 6) and backup/recovery (Commvault).Functional knowledge of core services, such as Active Directory, DNS, and NTP.Demonstrated experience with infrastructure software technologies (such as backup, antivirus, patching, and application agents).Functional understanding of virtualisation technologies (VMware).Experience in automating system administrative tasks, especially on software updates.Be proactive in taking initiatives to automate manual tasks.Willingness to maintain, or undertake provided training to acquire, IT and industry-related certifications as products are updated/released.Why RBA?The RBA contributes significantly to the Australian economy through national economic policy objectives and activities in financial markets and banking.
