Intake / Duty Clinician - Hume Community Team Nursing - Psych, Forensic & Correctional Health (Healthcare & Medical) Northern Health is seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Senior Registered Nurses / Occupational Therapists / Social Workers to join the Hume Community Mental Health Team.
About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community, and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
About the Role: The Hume Community Mental Health Team (located in Broadmeadows) is a large, supportive, and dynamic public mental health team made up of staff that are truly passionate and motivated in supporting consumers and their families/carers.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist mental health services to people who reside in the local government area of Hume.
This position provides intake and duty functions within the integrated team and is a business hours role.
This role has designated intake and duty days and is responsible for triaging referrals into the team, maintaining linkages/relationships with referring teams, and assisting in the allocation process within the intake function.
When providing duty, this clinician supports consumers of the clinic requiring urgent attention whose treating teams aren't available, alongside providing assessments of unregistered consumers who attend the clinic seeking support.
To be successful in this role you will have: Strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting and leading others. Well-developed clinical assessment skills. Ability to problem-solve in a complex and ever-changing environment. Preferably have worked in Community Mental Health within an Area Mental Health Service. Willingness to be flexible to meet the demands and support needs of those around you. Commitment to a culture of Recovery. Meet the requirements of RPN4 / Allied Health 3 as set out in the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024. Hold current registration with AHPRA (or eligible for membership with AASW if applicable).
