Join our Tomago-based Rebuilds Workshop and expand your skills in Mining Mobile Plant Equipment.
Reporting to the team lead, your role will be crucial in overhauling and rebuilding mining mobile equipment, including Off-Highway Trucks (OHTs), Dozers, Graders, and Drills.
You'll work on models such as 789, 793, 777, D10, and D11, as well as some auxiliary equipment.
Within our 14-bay facility and outdoor PAD, you'll focus on inspecting customer machines for wear and tear, repair and replace faulty components, and implement preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
You'll also maintain accurate records to ensure first-class workmanship in a safety-conscious environment.

Rosters and remuneration Option 1: Lifestyle Roster – WORKING ONLY HALF THE YEARComplete your nights in 1 swing, every 3 weeks + 5 weeks of annual leaveRoster Pattern: 5D4O 5N4O – work 15 days out of 28Day shift: 0600-1830 & Night shift: 1800-0630 (12.5 HR shifts)Hourly rates UP TO $55.87 + OT $83.81Annual earnings UP TO $131k + Super + OTRoster Pattern: 5D2O x2 5N2O x2Day shift: 06:00-16:30 & Night shift: 18:00-02:30Hourly rates UP TO $55.87 + OT $83.81Annual earnings UP TO $145k + Super + OTRates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experienceWhat we're looking for Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or a Mechanical trade qualification with transferable industry experience.Familiarity with Caterpillar surface mining equipment (desirable).Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and/or components desirable.Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.Unrestricted Drivers Licence.Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards.Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines.Why Join WesTrac?
