We are looking for a Principal Engineer that will be responsible for relevant design, operation, testing, inspection, and maintenance data combined with their engineering judgment to complete analyses, design tests, produce reports, develop procedures, and make recommendations to clients.
What you can expectResponsible for:Using knowledge and available data to produce technical reportsDefining and executing strategies for projectsReviewing and approving the work of others before issueSupporting department and Corporate management in successful delivery to clientsDeveloping own technical knowledge and assisting with development of othersEffective communication and mentoring of other individuals in the departmentAssisting with group compliance with all QHSE policy and proceduresSupporting department and Corporate with business development activitiesMonitoring and managing budgets on projects run by themselves and othersQuality check of own and work of othersTraining and development of staff where required and appropriateEscalation towards Project ManagerWhat you will bringRequirements:Degree Qualified engineer - Bachelors / MastersEngineers at this level will ideally be Chartered through a relevant Engineering institution.Normally a minimum of 10 years relevant industry and project experienceCompetencies:Has expert knowledge in at least one Engineering Office / INS disciplineIs able to understand and interpret the main industry codes and standardsA good problem solver with an analytical mind and attention to detailAbility to author basic technical reports, getting across relevant information in a structured and coherent formatGood communication skillsSound technical knowledge of main types of studies performed / methodologies utilisedProject Management skillsExcellent communication skills, including presenting results of technical studies to clientsAbility to critically review work of engineers to ensure technical excellence and development of teamWhat we offerYou will work with a national and international, dynamic and service-minded team that continuously strives for market leadership in the industries we serve.
