Uniformed Loss Prevention Officer

Job no: 942516 Work type: Permanent / Full time Location: Sydney City Myer is currently seeking Loss Prevention Officers to work within our Myer stores.
The successful candidates will be responsible for reducing shrinkage by detecting and deterring theft, ensuring efficient and compliant loss prevention activities, and supporting the Selling & Service Team Members in delivering service excellence.
Full-time Permanent positions (Business hours - 2 week ongoing roster)Huge career progression opportunity to develop and grow in roles across our greater Retail Loss teamOngoing development, coaching and training to progress into Loss Prevention Covert OfficersAbout the Role: Support the achievement of the store's shrinkage financial imperatives and strategic objectivesAdvocate and action national shrinkage reduction tacticsEducate retail team members on Loss prevention strategy, focuses, actions, results, and processesEnsure building and team security including providing a visible Loss Prevention presence and utilisation of store technology (CCTV, merchandise protection, source tagging, etc.
)Maintenance of Loss Prevention administration and reportingConducting Loss Prevention and Compliance checksIdentification and communication of shrinkage trends and issuesLiaise and maintain professional relationships with local police and centre securityInvestigation of loss prevention risks and incidents, including attending Court as a witness where neededPolicy compliant Apprehension of offenders.About You: Hold a current Security License and First-aid CertificateExperience relative to loss prevention, security, and customer service advantageousCertificate II in Security OperationsUnderstanding and application of policies and proceduresExperience with computer applicationsNumeracy skills with understanding of financialsUnderstanding of Police proceduresBenefits to you: Career progression & ongoing developmentGreat discounts on all our products, in store and online.Be a part of a supportive and connected team.Our Myer Community Fund raises and donates approximately 1.5 million dollars each year to support the work of our charity 60+ partners.To be considered for this position, you will need to be available to work across our key store trading hours, including every second weekend.
