With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with local and DIDO opportunities available.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Shot Firer, you will be working on a Project on-site, managing all tasks associated with loading, tying, and firing.
Shotfirer tasks can include but are not limited to:
Magazine Management Managing the loading, tying, and firing of blasts Ability to follow drill and blast designs Blast clearance management Quality assurance Technical expertise on products, loading, and blast patterns Equipment Prestart compliance On bench auditing compliance On bench excellence compliance Handling explosives Blast site preparation Measuring holes, setting up perimeter fencing Setting up reloading areas Stemming of holes Ancillary equipment operation Safe driving and TMP compliance Liaison with Technical Services/Supervisor/Superintendent regarding planned shots.
What You Will Need
Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, and Drivers License Shot Firer Ticket Minimum 12 months Experience in Shot Firer role
