We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.Grade 2 Occupational Therapist - The Alfred Parklands Subacute WardPermanent ongoingFull-Time - 80 hours per fortnight with ADOBased at The AlfredGreat Staff BenefitsOpportunity to work in a supportive organisation with opportunities for personal growth, development in clinical practice, and career progression.The RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and skilled occupational therapist to provide high-quality assessment and intervention to patients in a newly developed subacute ward based at the acute site, The Alfred.
The Occupational Therapist will:Provide high-quality assessment and intervention to promote occupational performance.Contribute to timely progression of care and facilitation of discharge pathways to home and the community for patients.Contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient care.Lead various teaching/training and quality improvement activities across the Occupational Therapy Service.Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants, and/or undergraduate students.Support sub-acute inpatient activity across other clinical areas and Alfred Health sites (Caulfield, Alfred, Sandringham).The Occupational Therapy service delivers a seven-day model of care.
The incumbent may be required to work one weekend shift on a periodic basis to assist progression of care and clinical service delivery at the acute site.Experience/QualificationsB.
App Sc (OT), B.
