About the role
Joining the Civil Stormwater Engineering Group, this full-time Civil/Flood Engineer role is based in Burwood, NSW (adjacent to public transport).
You will be responsible for providing technical stormwater and flood management expertise to deliver innovative solutions that protect local communities.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your Civil/Flood engineering skills to make a real difference.
What you'll be doing Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess flooding risk and develop mitigation strategiesDesign stormwater infrastructure such as drainage systems (residential and roads) and detention basinsAssessment and management of subterranean waterWater Sensitive Urban design and management of pollutantsUndertake Civil design in accordance with AS2890.1 including Public Domain designUndertake earthworks 3D design and produce cut and fill detailed sectionsPrepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and cost estimatesLiaise with clients, council, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are metContribute to the development of innovative stormwater management approachesMentor and provide technical guidance to more junior team membersConduct site inspections and prepare detailed engineering reportsFull ownership of the project from design to drafting to deliveryWhat we're looking for Degree qualified in Civil/Stormwater EngineeringMinimum 3 years' experience in stormwater and flood management designCurrent Member of Engineer's Australia at a minimum grade of RPENG and working towards obtaining NERCurrent Registered Design Practitioner and Professional EngineerStrong understanding of hydrological and hydraulic modelling principlesProficient in the use of software such as TUFLOW, CIVIL3D or 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, etc.Excellent problem-solving, analytical and project management skillsExcellent understanding of local and national standardsOutstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesDemonstrated commitment to continuous professional developmentExcellent writing and communication skillsWhat we offer
