About the role This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and high performing Paralegal to join the General Insurance (Recoveries) team on a full-time basis in the Melbourne office.
The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive paralegal and administrative support to Principals and the wider team of lawyers within the General Insurance (Recoveries) team.
This is a pivotal legal support role with varied workload, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing files with supervisionLiaising with internal and external stakeholders including clientsDrafting letters and documentsAbout You Ideally, you will have:
A genuine interest in working in insurance law or litigationPrior experience in debt recovery is favourableAbility to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detailExcellent communication (verbal & written) and organisational skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative and autonomyA great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your careerA hard working and dedicated approach to your practiceEducation Completion of a recognised Law degree or equivalent degree or experienceJoining Meridian Lawyers means joining a practice known for our specialisation and capability.
