About the Role Join UGL at our Locomotive Maintenance Facility in Nebo, where we are looking for experienced Service Technicians to perform complex mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting on locomotives and rolling stock.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a permanent role in a dynamic and technically challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities : Perform scheduled maintenance on locomotives and rolling stock.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, ensuring safety and efficiency.Verify the integrity of the rolling stock and perform emergency response duties when needed.Conduct inbound and outbound testing procedures.Requisition materials and components for maintenance activities.Report future maintenance work and potential improvements.Assist the Fleet Supervisor with any additional tasks as required.About You : Mechanical Trade qualified, with hands-on experience in a related field.Proven ability to resolve complex mechanical, warranty, and maintenance issues.Previous experience working with diesel engines, particularly in a rail or heavy machinery environment.Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) lists.Capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and prioritizing multiple tasks.Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, and email.What We Offer : Competitive remuneration package, including salary continuance insurance.Access to employee assistance programs for you and your family.AIA Vitality wellness program, plus discounts on health insurance, travel, vehicles, and more.Ongoing training and development opportunities for career growth.Flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance.Relocation and FIFO / DIDO Options : UGL offers camp accommodation and meals, however costs to get to and from would be at your own expense.
The two options are – (DIDO) drive-in drive-out and FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out), accommodation and meals will be provided on-site during your roster.
