We are looking for experienced casual Disability Support Workers to join our Centre-Based programs in Craigieburn, Meadow Heights, and Mill Park to:
Support people with disabilities to live independently and to achieve their personal goals.Developing and facilitating group programs that best suit the client's needs and goals.Provide direct support for individuals during program delivery such as personal care, behavioural, physical, and social supports.Create a positive environment for all clients promoting both physical and emotional well-being.Provide quality services and outcomes, by the relationships formed between staff, the people we support, their families and representatives.Providing emotional support by talking to clients about their needs and listening to their concerns.Desired Skills and Experience About you
To be considered for this role, you will need the following:
Certificate IV Disability/Aged Care or Individual Support, or currently working towards a relevant qualificationUnderstanding of what is involved in working with people with a disability/mental healthGood communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to buildrapport with clients and familiesExcellent time management, problem solving, communication and computer skillsAbility to work independently and in a team to create a positive cultureDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Quality and Safeguards CommissionMandatory
NDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking With Children CheckNational Criminal History checkUnrestricted Victorian Drivers LicenceExperience and ability to drive DPV Health Buses (11-seater)Level 2 First Aid CertificateRight to work in AustraliaOur Talent Experience
