Food Services Assistant

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a newly expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
Our expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be.
As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include: Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assemblyDeliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal traysAssist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.Provide high standard of customer serviceOperate in line with WHS policy & proceduresDeliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patientsPrevious experience in a hospital hospitality setting (desirable)Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirementsCommitment to service excellence.Strong communication and customer skillsWork well independently and within a teamFlexibility / Ability to work early/ late shifts and weekend workAvailable for on call shiftsWhy Healthscope?
