The firm comprises of over 1,700 lawyers and is able to offer the international insight of a global network combined with local market knowledge and expertise.Corporate TeamThe Corporate practice is widely regarded as being one of the strongest practices in the country.Within the group, they have market-leading practitioners providing blue-chip clients with services covering mergers and acquisitions (private and public), takeovers, equity capital markets, private equity, securities, restructuring and corporate governance.Position DescriptionGiven a substantial pipeline of corporate transactions, this top-tier Corporate practice is looking for a standout experienced corporate lawyer or entry-level senior associate to join their growing team.You will report into and be supervised by a number of Australia's leading corporate practitioners whilst having exposure to the wider group across both the Sydney office and other interstate offices.On offer is the opportunity to work on:corporate mergers, acquisitions and disposals, and related due diligence;IPOs, placements and rights issues for companies and managed funds;complex private equity structuring and consequent investment and exit transactions, including management and leveraged buy-outs;capital management strategies, including buy-backs and capital reductions;capital markets activities, including the structuring of complex capital instruments such as debenture and hybrid offerings and warrants.This is a great opportunity to join a leading corporate practice, consistently ranked within the top 5 of M&A teams in the country, where you will gain exposure to major corporate transactions.RequirementsYou will have at least 4+ years experience in corporate M&A transactions from a notable practice in Australia or another English-speaking jurisdiction.Ideally, you will have a broad corporate skill set; however, our client will consider more specialized corporate lawyers across M&A (public & private), capital markets, and private equity.In addition, you will have:An ability to adapt to the working styles of different partners;A developing commercial awareness;A strong academic background.ContactFor further information, please contact Laura Lal on +61 407 346 *** for a confidential discussion or send through your CV and transcripts to ****** take your application one step further, register your details via the 'Register Now' button on our website to be added directly onto our database.
