Executive Director - Regional and Specialist Services The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH), a large networked urban Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation, was established by its founding members in 2009 to provide a coordinated and integrated approach to the planning, development, and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within South East Queensland.
About the Role:
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the IUIH Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for overseeing IUIH's regional service delivery obligations, including specialist services, a broad range of allied health services, comprehensive primary care, oral health services, family health and wellbeing services, and mental health and addiction services.
Your responsibilities include:
Demonstrate leadership, promoting a culture of integrity, integration, collaboration and respect.
Support the work of the CEO and IUIH Executive in advancing the broader strategic objectives of the organisation.
Oversee operations of the Regional and Specialist Services Business Unit, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources; robust governance of healthcare quality and safety; and commitment to the direction provided by our clients, families and community.
Oversee the planning, development, revision, and refinement of business unit budgets, and ensure operations are delivered efficiently and effectively within budget.
Actively support the growth and development of a skilled, knowledgeable and responsive workforce, with appropriate delegation to manage their areas of responsibility and expertise.
About You:
Purpose and values-driven approach, with a commitment to the principles and practice of Aboriginal community control.
Experience leading and implementing large-scale health and related service initiatives.
High level management experience working within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health sector, or in a comparable not for profit, government or private sector organization.
