Mineral Hill Mine is located 65km north of Condobolin in Central West NSW.

As part of their transition to open pit mining, an exciting new role has been created for an Emergency Services / Safety Officer to work back-to-back with an existing role.Mineral Hill is a residential mine, FIFO is not available.
There is relocation support available and accommodation can be provided in a share house.
DIDO support is available (capped at 400km each way).About the roleReporting directly to the Health Safety and Training Manager, this is a full-time role, available for immediate start and offers diverse duties across the site, including:Emergency and incident response services including first aid, firefighting and rescueCoordination of site emergenciesAudit and management of ER capabilities and equipmentConduct safety inductions and manage site access and fit for work requirementsParticipation in Return-to-Work processes, incident investigations and site risk assessmentsBenefitsCompetitive salary packageRoster is 8 / 6 back to back dayshift, with emergency after hours on call obligationsAccommodation (share house) or relocation support availableDIDO or rental allowances availableTransport daily from Condobolin to and from siteA positive work environment in a high performing and friendly crewSupport for completion of nationally Accredited training and associated progressionQualificationsPossess, working towards or willing to acquire:Candidates with a nursing or paramedical background are desirable, however, other experience or backgrounds will be considered.Senior First Aid through to Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) - or equivalent.Certificate IV Occupational Health and Safety or equivalentCertificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue or equivalentAustralian Drug and Alcohol testing certificate - or equivalent.Incident Investigation - ICAM or otherCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentSkills / ExperienceStrong communication skills and a proactive customer service focusHigh level of interpersonal and organisational skillsAbility to self-manage and be time efficientCompetence with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Exposure to working in the emergency services industry and providing emergency support desirableAbility to operate efficiently independently and in a team environment, especially under stressful and time-critical situationsThis role represents an amazing opportunity to grow and develop in this important field within the mining industry.
