Salary: Starting at $160k + Super – NegotiableEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Perth Northern Suburb - Joondalup and surroundsWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and contribute to complex industrial electrical engineering projects.
This role requires a hands-on, adaptable professional who can excel across technical leadership, design, project management, and site commissioning tasks.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Guide and mentor team members, promoting continuous learning.Stay informed about industry trends and new technologies.Project Management Manage electrical engineering projects from design to completion.Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines.Contribute to design, drafting, and engineering calculations as needed.Electrical Design Develop advanced designs for power distribution, control, and instrumentation systems.Perform detailed engineering calculations and studies.Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications and installation manuals.System Analysis and Troubleshooting Conduct system analyses to optimize performance.Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using advanced techniques.Support commissioning and startup activities.Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 10 years of experience in the industrial sector within Australia.Experience working with industrial scale equipment for businesses similar to Water Corp and CPB.Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and AS61439.Proficiency in electrical design tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.Experience with project management methodologies, such as PMP certification.Willingness to take on a hands-on role, including site visits (DIDO) and commissioning tasks.This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the industrial sector.
