Level Two Teaching Assistant - Pupil Referral Unit Are you a Level Two Teaching Assistant that specializes in behavior and want to build a career working in a Pupil Referral Unit setting in the Leeds area? A Pupil Referral Unit specializing in Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties in students aged between Key Stage 2 up to Key Stage 4 provides stability, education, and empowerment while also taking into account the learners' individualized, differentiated learning styles.
This is to ensure that each learner is integrated socially, emotionally, and educationally.
The initial assignment in this post will be to see how well you fit into the setting, which means you need to be fully committed and enthusiastic about making a difference in children's lives and be willing to use your own initiative to stand out.

Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant specializing in behavior, you will operate within agreed professional ethical and school policies when working with pupils and those involved with them. Encourage and support staff in a positive regard and use the restraint training method when presented with difficult escalating behaviors. Support pupils to overcome their crises and help them deal with the consequences. Assist integration for the child into the rest of the class/group. Maintain good working relationships with other members of staff. Empower pupils and encourage positive regulation of social and emotional skills. Support the child's focus in class and keep them on task to complete the work that is set. Develop positive and trusting relationships with the pupils. Listen to the child and offer appropriate support if necessary. Provide information for behavioral records and report back as required. Job Specification: Must have at least 6 months solid experience working in a pupil referral unit, alternative provision, or similar setting. Level Two or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Must be proactive in your approach. Flexible in temporary work patterns. Team Teach trained desirable, however, training provided. Competitive daily rate £98-108. Enhanced DBS subscribed to the update service or willing to apply for one. Additional Benefits: Competitive rates of pay per week (AWR Compliant).
