About the Role:
Ventia are currently seeking to engage an experienced Field Supervisor for our Defence Base Services contract in Darwin NT.
Your primary responsibilities would be to provide a high level of customer service, managing key stakeholders as well as supervision and coordination to the building trades to effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract.

First response coordination and on-site ground control of emerging Estate Upkeep outages impacting Asset availability.
Supervision and oversight of Estate Upkeep Subcontractors as required.
Implementation and issuing of the Ventia Permit to Work System.
Site auditing of work activity safety documentation and conduct of Operational Process Confirmation as required.
Supervision of Ventia Field Leads to manage their performance and coach for improvement.
Participation in Subcontractor and Project Management Quality Control activities, including validation of work scope completion and value for money assessments.
Provision of site access coordination, including inductions, access to drawings, maps, and escorts for Subcontractors.
Establishing and maintaining appropriate on-base liaison and relationships with key Client and Customer representatives.
Ensure all information regarding works is entered into relevant systems in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience:
Building, Trade or tertiary qualifications desirable.
Experience within the Building Industry or Commercial Maintenance Industry highly desirable.
Strong focus and awareness of safety principles.
Experience in managing and leading trade teams, subcontractor and estate upkeep related services and personnel are considered highly desirable.
Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with Client and Customer.
Strong understanding of project management and/or service delivery principles.
Proficiency with use of Microsoft Office packages and ability to learn/use computerised software.
Proficiency in the Permit to Work System, and qualifications in at least one high risk discipline would be highly desirable.
Current Australian Drivers Licence.
Security Clearance:
The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to a Neg Vet Level 1.
As a result of this requirement, the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
