Full time, fixed term contract until December 2025 Opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Officer to support professional and academic recruitment across Deputy Vice Chancellor offices, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and University schools Base Salary $99,455 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking a Recruitment Officer to seamlessly deliver an exceptional talent acquisition experience across a diversified client base in the Deputy Vice Chancellor offices, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the University schools.
You will have a passion for providing a highly service-focused approach to many varied and diverse stakeholders across DVC Research, DVC Education, DVC ISS Provost and FASS and the University Schools (Law School, Business School, The Conservatorium of Music and School of Architecture, Design & Planning.)
One day you may be recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for FASS, the next a Data Scientist or Identified Advancement Officer.
Your previous experience recruiting a diverse range of specialist professional and academic roles will be highly advantageous.
Your intrinsic motivation towards providing personalised, high-quality candidate and client care, is essential in achieving service excellence within this high-performance team.
As a trusted and strategy-focused Recruitment Officer, you will invest significant effort towards holistically understanding the client group to proactively deliver fit-for-purpose recruitment advice.
Your key responsibilities will be to: coordinate the recruitment process from role identification to onboarding, ensuring understanding specific role requirements and adherence to processes proactively manage candidates, ensuring clear communication and building talent pools of evaluated individuals consult with Hiring Managers to devise effective recruitment strategies, ensuring alignment with the university goals working closely with a Recruitment Consultant to provide you with personalised development and coaching support ensuring a seamless and effective service delivery to both candidates and clients facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to university systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives collaborate within the HR team, upholding university values and fostering a culture of operational excellence take the lead in handling stakeholder communications, ensuring that concerns are addressed effectively and timely while fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within the work area and beyond.
About you Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of an equivalent combination of training and experience delivering talent acquisition services, strategies and end to end recruitment processes preferably within the academic sector a diverse recruitment background in both professional and academic roles, ideally covering in-house and agency recruitment previous experience delivering high quality candidate care and management experience interpreting recruitment and labour market data enthusiastic approach, proactively looking for ways to improve current practices the ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships at varying levels.
