We are seeking a skilled and motivated Digital Ad Operations Specialist to join our close-knit team in our Sydney office.
In this role you will...
Assist the Ad Operations and sales team in developing strategies, campaign forecasts and recommendations for client briefs, ensuring campaign goals are met.
Support the coordination of weekly WIP meetings with key stakeholders to monitor and track campaign performance.
Act as a supporting point of contact for Ad Operations, liaising with sales teams and internal departments to ensure seamless campaign execution.
Review and process a campaign booking from start to end, including processing and reviewing the Insertion Order (IO) prior to sending them to the agency/client, booking the elements (display, video, audio, newsletters etc) in Google ad manager, ACAST ad manager, Braze etc to ensure timely delivery and meeting the intended objective.
Assist with the setup, optimisation, and monitoring of campaigns, tracking key performance metrics and ensuring on-time delivery.
Troubleshoot basic issues related to ad delivery, such as creative quality, technical challenges, and performance under guidance from senior team members.
Conduct basic QA checks on creative materials to ensure adherence to advertising specifications and support the ad operations and sales team in troubleshooting video/display creatives.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Data & Insights and Ad Operations team to ensure project timelines are met.
Assist with reporting and analysis of campaign performance.

Knowledge and Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent Working knowledge of the media industry and experience in media sales or agency are highly desirable Project management experience is an advantage Understanding of marketing objectives, commercial imperatives, and digital sales implementation B2B experience is highly desirable Relevant media background with client-facing role desirable Understanding of the editorial integrity of the Guardian A strong interest in, and understanding of the Guardian brand Skills and Behaviours
Strong time management and internal and external communication skills Ability to troubleshoot and manage potential issues Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously High attention to detail and quality focus are essential Strong organisational skills IT skills (especially MS Office, Mac, Gmail, and Google workspace products) Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills Self-starter, with strong initiative Tactful, adaptable and a team player Lateral thinker About working at Guardian Australia...
