Secure your next role in your career at Kings Park Day Hospital as Patient Services Associate. The ideal candidate will be pleasant, compassionate and work alongside a team of reception staff, anaesthetic technicians, nurses, anaesthetists and surgeons at our Oral and Maxillofacial Day facility. The suitable candidate can work up to full time hours.Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDuties include:Greet patients, family members and carersComplete admission and discharge activitiesProvide high quality customer service and patient experienceEnter data on information management systems, booking appointments and records managementTeam focused approach with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to create a pleasant environment for staff, patients and carersLiaise with patients and their families in a compassionate mannerUndertake health fund eligibility checksProvide receipts for excess and self-funded paymentsSkills and Experience required for the position:ESSENTIAL CRITERIAExperience in hospital reception, admission and discharge of patientsHighly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesUnderstanding of patient privacy and confidentialityWorking knowledge of medical software systems, word and outlookFlexibility to cover leave and work up to full-time hours which may make this role unsuitable for studentsExcellent communications and interpersonal skillsCommitment to quality, best practice and environmental safetyAccurate data entry for patient admission and dischargeDESIRABLEExperience using medical software.A sound knowledge of Private Health Funds and billing processesIf you want to be part of our dynamic team, send your resume and cover letter addressing the above criteria by clicking 'apply for this job'.
