We are looking for a Flexible Pipeline Engineer (M/F) who can join our multicultural team in Paris.
Job Description The flexible pipe engineer is responsible for the design of the entire flexible system solution, design activities gathering both pipe cross-section definition as well as subsea pipeline ancillaries' equipment.
Design activities are framed by dedicated Oil & Gas international Codes and standards and internal TechnipFMC design rules.
They must comply with planning and project constraints as well as the highest quality standards to ensure our customers' satisfaction.
Main activities include:
To be able to investigate and identify main and critical design parameters. To classify required per dedicated design tool. To write technical report linked to performed studies (design, analysis etc…). To seek support from R&D department or challenge them for proposed design optimization. To be able to review efficiently design reports and technical analysis from other team's engineers or other disciplines engineers with whom he will interface. To prepare required documentation for flexible pipe and ancillaries equipment manufacturing. To be able to reply clearly to internal and external clients. At mid-term, it will be required to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage outsourced design teams and to respect standards in terms of safety and quality during project execution.
The Flexible Pipeline Engineer (M/F) would have the opportunity to evolve in different operational activities on Front-End Engineering, Tendering, Project, and Customer Services.
In the frame of those activities, he/she will have the opportunity to provide support onsite in manufacturing plants, fabrication yards, or offshore on construction vessels.
You are meant for this job if: Engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical or hydrodynamic engineering. Fluent in French and English. Familiar with the Office Pack and Excel (good notions of VBA or Python programming is a plus). Autonomous and organized, demonstrating leadership and real decision-making abilities. Ability to manage priorities, work easily as part of a team, and possess good communication skills (written and oral). Continuously raise standards, Innovative, and solution-oriented, helping to solve complex problems. Willingness to travel occasionally as the position is based in Paris. Open-minded and adaptable, able to work in a multicultural environment. Committed and proactive, with a strong sense of collaboration. Able to make decisions and learn from every situation. Additional Skills Your future at TechnipFMC: The Flexible Pipe Design Engineer can evolve along two different paths, either towards the project management branch to project engineering management positions or to the technical authority and expertise branch to become a referential to the group in the flexible pipes design domain.
