Financial Services partner with all areas of CommBank to specialist advice, support and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy and investor relations.Within Financial Services, the Group Statutory & Regulatory Reporting (S&RR) team plays a vital role in the financial operations of the Group.
The team is responsible for statutory, prudential and statistical reporting to APRA, RBA and ABS, Pillar 3 reporting, and other regulatory obligations.
The team's areas of focus include:Group Reporting – Statutory external financial reporting and consolidation of the Group's general ledgerAccounting Policy – Ensuring the Group has adequate accounting policies to support external reporting requirements and business unit support for complex transactionsRegulatory Reporting – Ensuring that the Group's financial and regulatory reports comply with the relevant regulations and standardsDo work that mattersThe purpose of this role is to support the strategic agenda for S&RR by effectively managing critical financial systems that drive the Group's statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including management reporting.Your responsibilities will be varied, covering the operations involved in the successful delivery of the Annual Report, Profit Announcements, Basel III Pillar 3, and other management reporting.To achieve these outcomes, you will collaborate extensively with the broader S&RR team, the Group Financial Controls team, and the finance teams of each CBA Group Business Unit.See yourself in our teamThis role is wide reaching and not prescriptive in every sense.

The role includes, however is not limited to:Administer the Oracle Cloud EPM suite, including the Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS) and Narrative Reporting modulesMonitor and maintain essential financial controlsDeliver financial systems training for the group's finance communityImplement change management strategies for financial system enhancementsFocus on the continuous improvement agenda of the Group Reporting team, emphasising accuracy, timeliness, and functionalityOffer advisory support on reporting process improvements and related projectsContribute to fostering a strong and vibrant team cultureWe're interested in hearing from people who have:Excellent commercial acumenExperience with Oracle EPM, FCCS, Narrative Reporting, SQL and database administration will be looked upon favourablyUnderstanding of financial system data flows and related operationsFamiliar working with large datasetsAdvanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysisStrong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysisExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExceptional attention to detailDemonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneouslyInnovative and able to drive resultsHold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or an equivalent business-related disciplineAccounting qualification – CA or CPAWorking with us meansWhether you're passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.
