Our purpose is simple: life-giving donations, for life-changing outcomes.About the roleWe're on the lookout for a dynamic individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team at the Darwin Donor Centre.
If you've got great people skills and a real passion for helping others, we want to hear from youYou'll be there for our donors every step of the way, making sure they have a great experience.Here's what a typical day might look like:Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donateComplete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin testsSet up machines, various tubing and collection bagsInsert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasmaMonitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donationHelp create an awesome donor experience that keeps them coming back for moreNo prior experience in blood collection is needed; our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you'll need to be able to:Attend 60 hours across 10 shifts per fortnightBe available for a variety of shifts inclusive of weekends and afternoonsSupport and foster a fantastic team cultureOccasionally lift between 9-22.7kgsFrequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood productsUtilise your background in customer service and thrive in our dynamic environment, where your skills will be key to delivering exceptional results.Thrive in a diverse culture that cares for your wellbeingWorking for Lifeblood, you will benefit from:A range of salary packaging benefits including the option to package up to $15,900 of your salary (that's extra dosh)Ability to purchase additional annual leaveDiscounted private health cover with fantastic corporate benefitsDiscounted access to 1,430+ gyms & poolsEmployee Assistance Program; Free, 24/7 and confidential health, safety and wellbeing supportDiscounts and benefits with selected retail outlets, department stores, attractions, travel, cinemas, restaurants, eyewear and moreExcited about this opportunity?
