Growing boutique client side project management consultancy who also undertakes developer builder work.
Initially 60% head contractor work and 40% client side work with some development management work happening in the future. Great culture and team, great pipeline of work.
Projects from smaller up to $20m across a variety of sectors and across new build, refurb and fit out with a variety of projects. The current larger projects are developer builder on townhouse, apartment as well as some commercial projects too.
Position Overview
Our client is a growing developer builder who also undertake client-side consultancy project management work. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work on a mix of exciting new projects including:
New build apartment
Townhouse
Commercial projects in the Brisbane City Fringe
Projects will be from smaller up to $20m. Project experience specifically related to residential, townhouses, apartments and commercial etc. would be beneficial; however, their work varies across retail and facilities as well.
Candidate Profile
Candidates can come from client-side consultancy or main contractor, having delivery experience up to $20m+. Candidates will need to have some experience in head contracting as they undertake developer builder projects, so people with a background as a contract administrator or project engineer on the head contractor side will also be suitable.
Years of Experience
3 - 7 years+
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Client management and consultation
Project Planning/Feasibility studies
Risk Management
Value Engineering
Design Management
Procurement of construction services
Delivery of construction services
Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
Experience on residential/accommodation building projects
Ideally experience of end-to-end project management on building projects
Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantage
Leadership skills
Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous client-side project management experience is ideal
