Your Opportunity:
The Electoral Commission of Queensland (ECQ) is seeking a Manager of ICT Operations who is self-motivated, versatile, and multi-skilled.
Your primary responsibility is to provide oversight in designing and managing the technical aspects of the cloud stack, focusing on architectural evolution, cost optimisation, compliance, fostering innovation, owning all infrastructure issues through to resolution and maximising the availability of production systems.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the successful preparation and conduct of electoral events.
About You:
As part of the Digital Technologies Division, you will bring your leadership experience, dedication to team success, and enthusiasm for customer collaboration to the table.
You are proactive in identifying ways to enhance the customer experience and streamline operations, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role you will also provide technical leadership, driving the performance of the team as well as providing key focus on effective management of the ICT Infrastructure footprint and optimisation of the operational infrastructure environment.
To be successful, you'll have:
Relevant qualifications and significant experience in a similar role in managing ICT operations across a blend of internal and externally provisioned and managed ICT services.
Ideally with an infrastructure background and significant experience managing technology teams covering Service Desk, Cloud Ops (Azure preferred), and System Engineering.
Significant experience managing service delivery teams based on ITIL methodologies and practices.
Strong culture building skills including the ability to build high performing teams through coaching and performance development.
Experience developing and managing detailed SLA's.
Strong communication and negotiation skills and proven experience in management of supplier contracts and their performance.
The ability to develop a strong focus on customer service and identifying the needs and pain points of end users.
