Reporting to the Process Engineer, this is a diverse role responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure the continual running of the plant.The RolePerform preventative maintenance on production machines.Inspect machinery and perform repairs on site, arranging replacement equipment as required.Report and communicate any equipment malfunction and maintenance/repair, providing recommendations on the corrective action required.Operate conventional metal lathes and milling machines.Perform fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, and grinding.Provide mechanical support and technical knowledge to internal and external clients as required.Maintain the internal maintenance management system.Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that production/maintenance documents are completed accurately and on time.Selection CriteriaTrade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.Minimum 3+ years' mechanical fitting experience, working on industrial manufacturing plant and machinery.Current Forklift Licence (Dogging ticket and Overhead Crane competency preferred).Welding experience coupled with advanced knowledge of fabrication practices.Competent in the operation of milling and lathing machines.Ability to interpret engineering and mechanical drawings.This role would suit a motivated self-starter that requires little direction, has a hands-on approach, is able to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and independently, and is able to manage and prioritise competing work demands.What's in it for you?This full time permanent position comes with a competitive remuneration package, family-friendly day shift working hours, and a great working environment with a long established well-respected organisation that values safety and its people.Enhance your earning potential with job security in permanent ongoing work with excellent remuneration.Exposure to major National Projects and opportunity to work with industry leaders across the Organisation.Our core focus is on the development of our People and as a result, we offer a wide range of training, support, mentoring, and career development opportunities.A strong and experienced leadership team that is approachable, family-oriented, and here to support you.Opportunities for flexibility with work arrangements in a culture that values diversity and wellbeing.An awesome Team culture with on-site parking, and all amenitiesAccess to a wide range of company benefits including but not limited to:Annual Group Bonus participation at 3% of your base salary.Access to FennerFits - our wellbeing, recognition, and discounts portal.Ability to purchase up to 2 weeks' leave per annum by participating in our Leave Purchase ProgramBecome a shareholder of the business by participating in the Michelin Share Scheme.Be recognised for your contributions and service via our Service Recognition program.Take your next step into something bigger, apply nowWe're committed to establishing a culture that is inclusive, diverse, and compassionate.
