Role Description:
The Commissioning Site Engineer will oversee the testing and commissioning activities of systems and equipment for BHP iron ore projects.
This position ensures all commissioning processes are carried out effectively, adhering to technical, safety, and quality standards, and within project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision : Oversee construction and ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
Commissioning Leadership : Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and ensure operational readiness.
Project Experience : Utilize expertise in greenfield and brownfield project environments, including experience with Construction Verification Certificate (CVC), Commissioning procedures, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
Compliance : Ensure activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Problem-Solving : Resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning.
Documentation : Maintain detailed records of activities, test results, and progress reports.
Stakeholder Coordination : Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to align project objectives.
Handover : Facilitate the handover of commissioned systems and train operational staff.
This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong focus on quality and safety, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering successful commissioning outcomes for BHP iron ore operations.

Must Haves:
Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering 2-3 years post-trade experience in an engineering role with a Construction or Commissioning background Site engineering (electrical) experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships, with a passion for team growth and development.
Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities.
Ability to develop strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities.
