Novotel Melbourne South Wharf features a golden 26-level tower with 347 accommodation rooms & suites, Mr. Carpano Dining and Bar, and Allora Café.
The hotel is complemented with direct access to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the Southern Hemisphere's largest meeting space, and is adjacent to the DFO centre, with 180+ retail brands.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Group Reservations Agent to join our dynamic team at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf.
As a Group Reservations Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless coordination of group bookings and reservations, providing exceptional customer service to both our clients and internal teams, within our portfolio hotels.
Key duties include:
Responsible for the management of all group bookings of 10 rooms or more.Handle enquiries for group bookings via email or phone during the shift, communicate immediately, and provide a reply or confirmation within a reasonable timeframe.Handle guest complaints and enquiries in an efficient and professional manner and ensure the Reservations Manager is informed of any guest feedback.Perform all reservations duties including making and entering reservations.Prepare group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of Hotel Stakeholders prior to the arrival of the group.Ensure a clear line of communication with other departments for special requests or other reservation-related matters.QualificationsExperience in a Front Office or Reservations role is highly desirable.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera PMS is advantageous.Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills.Time management skills with the ability to multitask.Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, and holiday periods.Additional InformationWhy Work for Accor?
