If you have a desire to work in healthcare and contribute to patient outcomes, then we are interested to hear from you.A vacancy exists for a Food Services Manager / Head Chef to join us at Nundah Private Hospital; a newly built mental health facility scheduled to open in early January 2025.
Enjoy working in a brand new, spacious, well-equipped kitchen, with a great management team and become a part of our successful and growing organisation.A snapshot of your role:The Food Services Manager / Head Chef role manages and efficiently operates the Food Services Department.
This role encompasses key areas of patient meal distribution, function catering, stock ordering, staff rostering, administration and management of a small team.
Your day will see you engaging in a wide range of activities and responsibilities whilst exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, flexibility and problem-solving.This position is responsible for:Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all dietary requirements of patientsInvolvement in all elements of kitchen duties dependent on daily requirementsUpdating and managing the Food Services PlanCo-ordination of team resources, rostering, competency and trainingProviding strong leadership for the Food Services teamOversight of kitchen safety measures, work methods and quality controlMaintain the department within the allocated budgetManage stores including receipt, dispatch and storage of perishable and non-perishable food suppliesOur ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:Experienced ChefRelevant Food Safety Supervisor Certificate / recognised qualificationsDemonstrated knowledge and practiced implementation of quality systems, Food Safety Programs, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety Standards, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Dietary GuidelinesStrong interpersonal skills, with an ability to negotiate with relevant internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrates understanding of Work, Health, and Safety (WHS) and the positive patient experienceFor enquiries about this opportunity please contact ******.
