Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive growth in bookkeeping services while managing a diverse portfolio of clients?
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Bookkeeping to oversee and expand our bookkeeping operations.
About the Role As Head of Bookkeeping, you will lead both in-house and offshore teams, ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional bookkeeping services.
You will manage client relationships, spearhead business growth, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact, both within the firm and in supporting the success of our diverse client base.
What You'll Do Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and support a high-performing bookkeeping team, fostering development and efficiency.Client Portfolio Management: Build lasting client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring their needs are met.Bookkeeping Excellence: Oversee operations using Xero and MYOB, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Compliance & Reporting: Manage BAS, PAYG, IAS submissions, month-end reconciliations, and year-end preparations.Collaboration: Work closely with accountants and administrative teams to ensure seamless service delivery.Business Growth: Identify opportunities to expand services, enhancing client satisfaction and firm growth.What We're Looking For Experience: 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, including managing complex accounts and teams.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero and MYOB; Xero Advisor certification required.Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, both locally and offshore.Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and reconciliation expertise.Organisational Skills: Exceptional time management and the ability to prioritise effectively.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first approach.Initiative: A proactive mindset with a knack for problem-solving and process improvement.What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.Clear career progression pathways and professional development opportunities.Support for CA or CPA qualifications, including financial assistance.Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options after probation.Monthly rostered day off and a supportive, collaborative team environment.Travel opportunities—domestic and international—enhancing the variety and scope of the role.Friday lunches and a workplace culture that values relationships, innovation, and integrity.Ready to Take the Lead?
