Blenners Transport is a proudly Australian Owned and family operated transport business with over 35 years experience specialising in refrigerated transport Australia Wide.
With depots across Brisbane, Tully and Far North Queensland, Blenners are the nationally trusted and respected refrigerated transport solution, working with leading retailers and well-known and reputable brands Australia-wide, with a strong emphasis on their customers and their team.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced full time Group Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Tully, North Queensland.
Our Role An exciting opportunity isavailable in our Finance Team for a highly experienced and motivated Group Accountant.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this person will be responsible for providing financial leadership and executingrobust financial management strategies to support the sustainability, development and growth of Blenners Transport
This role will be offered on afull-timebasis based at our Head Office at Tully Nth QLD with a competitive annual salary on offer.
The Duties & Responsibilities: Develop, document and lead implementation of sound financial systems, policies, procedures and improvement processesLead and provide effective performance management of the Finance teamProvide effective management of Finance functions including acquittals, debtors, creditors, asset management and payrollWork collaboratively with directors and senior managers to support effective business performance managementDevelop and maintain professional working relationships with external stakeholders and external auditorsSupport and relieve CFO as requiredYour Skills & Experience CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)Minimum 5 years sound financial and management accounting experience, with proven accounting skills, particularly budgeting and variance analysisDemonstrated effectiveness with month-end processes in a multi cost-centre environmentHighly effective interpersonal communication skillsProven ability to manage and develop a small team while building and maintaining effective customer/ stakeholder relationshipsDemonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively as a member of a teamWell-developed problem-solving skills with proven effectiveness in systems review, improvement processes and documentationPrevious experience in the transport industry would be highly regarded but is not essential.
The position is based in the Tully Head Office, and is only available to applicants eligible to live and work in Australia
