Permanent role with great career progression opportunitiesIndustry-leading benefits including domestic relocation assistance and subsidised health insurancePermanent full-time role working a 9-day fortnightAbout your role Reporting to the Supervisor – Sourcing Services, the Sourcing Officer works within a team led by the Superintendent – Contracts and Procurement.
This crucial role is responsible for strategically securing QAL's external services requirements; delivering long-term value, surety of supply, and minimising business risks.
The key functions of this exciting opportunity include:
Effective delivery of the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process for critical services; from internal analysis and tender, to contract award and supplier performance management;Developing high quality contracts that drive value and minimise operational and commercial risk;Managing the performance of assigned supply categories valued up to $50M per annum;Analysis of data, identification of spend insights and trends, as well as setting forward strategies that drive performance and value improvement;Working with a wide stakeholder group across the refinery and in the community to ensure the health of long-term supply relationships;Contributing to a culture of inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement.What you will bring To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:
A commitment to safety and continuous improvementTertiary qualifications in business, economics, engineering, supply management, or a related field is preferredThree plus years of supply management or sourcing experience, demonstrated commercial knowledge and with a specific focus on services and maintenance sourcing experienceDemonstrated experience negotiating complex supply agreementsDemonstrated versatility with negotiating and forming various contract stylesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to develop reports and business cases for review by the Board of DirectorsExcellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment and the ability to form positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersHigh level of skill in the use of SAP and the Microsoft Office suite is desirableWhat's on offer We know there are many aspects of our employees' lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life.
