Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our Air and Noise Service Line which operates under the umbrella of the Environmental Assessments and Approvals team.

Our Environmental Assessment and Approvals business has maintained strong growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a leader in air and noise impact assessment and approvals, terrestrial ecology, and marine services.
Our diverse team contributes to a wide variety of projects, with a strategic focus on renewable energy (e.g.
windfarms, battery storage facilities etc.
), critical minerals and Defence at a regional, national and global scale.
We also work hand in hand with the architecture team and the planning team.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Driving acoustic and vibration related project deliverables across all business sectors.
Undertaking technical tasks independently including modelling, measurement and monitoring, impact assessment and engineering design for environmental noise and vibration, underwater acoustics, industrial and transport noise and vibration, wind farm noise, as well as building and architectural acoustics.
Project management of all project stages, including internal and external client liaison, project input data management, deliverable timelines and budgets, as well as quality control and technical review process.
Mentoring and supporting junior team members in a learning and collaborative environment.
Contributing to business development including opportunity identification and bid document development.
What will you bring to the team?

A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science, or other suitably appropriate discipline.
Ideally over 5 years' work experience in similar consulting role.
A valid driving licence and desire to take part in field work including trips to remote WA.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant acoustics modelling software (CadnaA or SoundPLAN) and Microsoft Office.
Experience with other relevant specialist software and coding packages (QGIS, Matlab, Python, R etc.)
would be highly favorable.
Top tier analytical, verbal and written communication and technical report writing skills, and being a team player.
Up-skilling in the operation of vehicles in high-risk environments such as use of 4-wheel drive vehicles on unsealed roads, towing or driving in weather conditions.
