With new mines, new equipment and a new energy across our business, there's never been a better time to join Westgold.THE WESTGOLD OFFER7 nights on, 7 days on, 14 days off roster, fly in and out on company timeCamp with ensuite rooms, sports courts and an equipped gymA company that is growing and supports employee developmentA RANGE OF BENEFITS INCLUDINGPerformance based bonusSite Allowance (if applicable)Group Salary Continuance InsuranceA Health and Wellbeing allowanceAccess to discounted health insuranceA range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoptionReferral Bonus – bring your mates along5 years' pro rata long service leaveSalary sacrifice options – novated leases, FIFO airport parking and othersEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) that includes free confidential counselling and wellbeing services that includes financial advice.THE ROLEEstablish shift strategies to ensure there is minimal disruption to the processMonitor plant operating processes including water usage, process dam levels and return water usage.Liaise closely with the gold room personnel in managing the gravity, elution, and gold room activities and provide additional resources as requiredOperate process control systems using CITECTIdentify and diagnose items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repairIdentify and act on ways of improving output or efficiency of the plantPlay a key role as part of the leadership team in the implementation of a positive, safe, and productive culture in the workplaceProvide mentoring and leadership to your teamActively promote a high level of safety awareness, lead from the front and by exampleLiaising with Contractors and Stakeholders as requiredWHAT DO I NEEDMinimum of 5+ years' experience within a gold processing plantTertiary Qualification in Metallurgy or related discipline (desirable)Experience in Sag/Ball Mill OperationsExperience with SCADA systems (CITECT) and proprietary PLC systemsExperience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desirable)Strong working knowledge of ore processing with a high degree of practical understanding of processing functions (operational and mechanical)Sound understanding of WHS and WA mining acts and SRMSWorking at Heights CertificationConfined Space Entry CertificationGas Test Atmospheres certificationFirst Aid Certification (including CPR)Proficient Microsoft office skillsProven leadership skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasksSolid communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, and successful working relationships with your teamA can-do, team-oriented attitudeDesire to maintain a proactive safe working environmentCandidates must meet our pre-employment criteria which includes medical and drug and alcohol screening, relevant right to work checks and be able to provide a valid Australian national police clearance (or be able to obtain).Westgold is driven by our core values of Show Respect, Choose Safety and Deliver Value.
