About the Role
In the role of Manager – Retirement Village, you will oversee Rosemount a retirement community located at Sinnamon Park and Aldersgate retirement living community located at Redhill.
The Manager – Retirement Village, is responsible for the effective and efficient operations of both retirement villages ensuring the provision of high-quality services and facilities to the residents in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, maintaining financial accountability, liaising with residents and families and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Ensure that the integrity of the village and the organisation is always maintained.
Ensure a sound financial performance of the village in line with the budgets and QS reports.
Contribute to work force planning, including the recruitment and selection of village support staff.
Provide leadership as part of the management team of the retirement villages.
Create a vibrant community environment that people want to live in.
Promote and contribute to a positive, safe working environment and culture within the retirement villages whilst ensuring that all staff comply with WMQL code of conduct.
Supervise contractor inductions and maintaining WHS processes to ensure that ongoing safety of the village and the workplace is maintained.
Providing ongoing support to residents to maintain their quality of life and independence.
Welcoming new residents to the village and assisting them to settle into their new home.
Completion and supervision of onsite administrative tasks.
Liaising closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager on marketing strategies for the village.
Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service to residents at all times.
Ensuring a high standard is maintained in areas of meal service, maintenance and general housekeeping.
Commitment to continuous quality improvement and regulatory management by implementing necessary changes in operations as required.
About You
The ideal person for this position will have a sound knowledge of the Retirement Industry and current legislation, coupled with at least three years' experience in a similar managerial role.
Sound experience with finance / budgeting.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and work under pressure.
Possess exceptional relationship and people management skills and a keen ability to effectively liaise with a variety of key stakeholders.
Demonstrated commercial acumen and the maturity to interact with your residents with respect and empathy.
Demonstrated experience with conflict management and negotiation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Experience and knowledge in human resource activities, including but not limited to recruitment, supervision, mentoring and leadership of staff ensuring a strong customer focus and continuous quality improvement culture.
