Engineering Manager

As the Engineering Manager at Acran Sound Control, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and design process, ensuring our acoustic solutions consistently meet high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
You will lead a team of skilled engineers and drafters, guiding them to deliver project outcomes efficiently, on time, and in line with commercial objectives.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide strategic leadership in design and engineering, and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
This dynamic role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management skills, and a customer-focused approach to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver bespoke equipment designs, meeting client needs and market demands.Oversee project planning, execution, and completion to ensure alignment with agreed timeframes and commercial terms.Collaborate with R&D, production, commercial and quality assurance teams to enhance product development processes.Promote and support a strong safety culture across the business, supporting safety initiatives and driving compliance with safety standards.Maintain high project quality standards, ensuring engineering outputs meet all regulatory requirements and client expectations.Sign off on designs and provide technical advice throughout the design process to support project success.Manage engineering change processes and document control across the business.Collaborate closely with operations teams to align product design and production with customer requirements.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation, including reducing waste and improving production safety.Manage key engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines and quality expectations.About you. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience developing high performing engineering teams.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
CPEng/ RPEng and/or RPEQ is required.
Proficiency is required with Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office.
