Looking for Direct Support Workers to work with our Aged Care Clients in Byron Bay and surrounding suburbs
We are looking for flexible, adaptable and creative individuals to join our team with a range of shifts for clients in need of assistance.
As an Aged Care Direct Support Worker, you'll be an integral part of the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds.
You will assist with:
Providing support on matters of personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing and moreAdministering medicationsSome manual handling and general assistance with mobilityDomestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparationCommunity engagement, such as attending doctors' appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of their choice.This role is ideal for people who are: Great communicators, dedicated to providing the best service for every personExcellent listeners who can work autonomously, as well as under direction and within a team environmentCalm and confident in all different environments and understand the importance of professional boundariesDedicated to providing personal care with dignity and sensitivity to our clientsDedicated to the vision of an inclusive society and value client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courageAs a team member, you will enjoy the benefits of: An hourly rate based on your industry-related experience and qualificationsAbove award minimum pay level of $33.01/hr at Level 1.1 for those entering the industryPaid industry-leading training provided by health professionals to all employeesAdditional penalty rates for night and weekend shifts (as per the SCHADS Award)Salary packaging benefits for permanent part-time employeesFlexibility to support your lifestyle and commitmentsSupport and continued professional developmentBefore you commence, you will need: Current First Aid and CPR certificatesDriver's License and Car (Comprehensive Car Insurance)A Working With Children Check (WWCC)An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly the Police Check)Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directedA smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating systemCPL are happy to assist in obtaining these necessary checks if you are successful.
