Are you an experienced therapeutic leader ready to drive positive change?

We're looking for a dedicated Therapeutic Leader to guide a committed team, supporting women in their recovery from domestic, family, and sexual violence.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead a team within a supportive, feminist organisation focused on trauma-informed care.

About the Role:
As the Therapeutic Leader, you will work closely with senior management to shape and implement clinical services that address the unique needs of survivors.
Your responsibilities will encompass direct therapeutic support, team leadership, and strategic program development to enhance the quality and effectiveness of services.
This position requires a deep understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, as well as the ability to engage in collaborative, community-focused support.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage the Therapeutic Team: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the therapeutic team, ensuring alignment with the organisation's feminist philosophy.
Mentor and support team members to foster a cohesive, compassionate, and skilled therapeutic environment.
Deliver Specialised Therapeutic Support: Provide individual and group counselling, conduct psychosocial and risk assessments, safety planning, and advocacy for clients affected by domestic and family violence.
Offer trauma-informed, strengths-based counseling to empower clients and support their healing journey.
Oversee Client Intake and Case Management: Manage the intake process, maintain the client caseload, and ensure all case management practices are thorough and responsive to client needs.
Implement and monitor evaluation frameworks to assess client progress and ensure high-quality, individualised support.
Collaborate with External Partners: Build and maintain partnerships with other organisations to create holistic, wraparound services for clients.
Coordinate with healthcare providers, legal services, and social support agencies to advocate for comprehensive support.
Monitor Quality and Compliance: Ensure that all client records are accurately maintained according to organisational and legislative requirements.
Adhere to best practices in documentation, ensuring unbiased, factual, and timely case notes.
About You:
You bring a wealth of experience in clinical and therapeutic roles, specifically within domestic and family violence support.
You are a skilled leader with a collaborative approach, capable of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for clients and colleagues alike.
Your commitment to trauma-informed care, cultural sensitivity, and social justice drives your work, and you have a strong desire to create lasting positive change.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field, with registration or eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies.
Extensive Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic counseling, psychosocial assessments, risk and safety planning, and advocacy for individuals affected by domestic, family, and sexual violence.
Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary team, including experience in workload management, training, and performance reviews.
Trauma-Informed Practice Expertise: Advanced understanding of trauma-informed care and violence-informed therapeutic practices.
Ability to apply evidence-based interventions that prioritize client empowerment, safety, and well-being.
Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, as well as collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:

National Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check, and eligibility to work in Australia.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and innovate within a supportive organisation that values feminist principles, social justice, and community-centered support.
As the Therapeutic Team Leader, you will have a pivotal role in shaping and delivering services that directly impact women's lives, contributing to meaningful recovery and resilience.
You'll join a team that believes in empowerment, respect, and collaboration, working together to create positive systemic change in the community.

Being female is considered a genuine occupational qualification as per Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

If you're passionate about supporting women's healing journeys and have the leadership skills to make a real difference, we encourage you to apply
