You'll design, build, and maintain scalable applications while mentoring team members, championing best practices, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure project success.

Shape Our Technology
Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that enhance Safewill's products and user experience.
Transform business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
Drive Innovation and Performance
Contribute to system architecture and design decisions to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
Improve performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimised solutions.
Foster Collaboration
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
Work closely with product managers, designers, platform and data engineers to deliver cohesive solutions.
Champion Best Practices
Implement and uphold engineering standards, including code quality, documentation, and testing practices.
Advocate for continuous improvement, modern SDLC processes, and a culture of innovation.
Your Skills
Essential Skills
Proficiency in modern scripting languages and frameworks for web development (e.g., Nuxt/Vue.js and Nest.js with TypeScript, proficiency with modern versions of React & Angular are great).
Experience with web services like GraphQL , REST APIs , or WebSockets .
Strong knowledge of data management technologies (SQL, NoSQL, ETL processes).
Proficiency with containerisation (e.g., Docker , Kubernetes ) and cloud platforms (GCP preferred ).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
Preferred Skills
Expertise in TypeScript , JavaScript , or similar such as Java, Ruby, or Python (we use TypeScript).
Experience with modern SDLCs and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Atlassian suite, GitHub workflows).
Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and DevOps practices.
Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright).
