The RoleThe Design & Drafting Manager is responsible for the coordination of all Design & Drafting resources including preparing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring and reporting of Drafting & Design activities, as well as creation and implementation of Drafting & Design management strategies, processes, policies and procedures.The role requires implementation of high-quality engineering solutions using best Engineering, Drafting & Design practices, standards and tools.
Key Responsibilities: Manage Design & Drafting resources, scheduling and activities to effectively manage the delivery of engineering deliverables.Manage Design & Drafting resources, performance, budgeting and periodic forecasting.Define and manage priorities against the available capacity of Design & Drafting resources.Facilitate design development, change and functionality.Formulate Drafting & Design management strategies, processes, policies and plans.Development & standardisation of Engineering, Drafting and Design documentation.Review and approvals of Drafting & Design documentation.About You: Strong understanding of Engineering, Drafting and Design principlesTertiary and/or Post Graduate qualification in EngineeringTechnical Writing ExperienceSupervisory and Project Management experienceHighly developed people management skills with an ability to communicate at all levelsExcellent time management skills, conflict resolution abilities and experience in managing the requirements of technical persons in facilitating a project (technical input and management of technical risk)Sound understanding of statutory, industry standards and specificationsADDITIONAL BENEFITS INCLUDE: Additional four days per annum of Personal Business LeaveOpportunity to apply for additional leave (Purchase Leave)Annual Bonus SchemeSalary continuance insuranceRewards Gateway for our employeesEmployee Referral RewardWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER At Pacific Energy, we celebrate the richness and depth that diversity brings.
