Russell Island State School is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher and an enthusiastic Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher to join their team.
Located just a 20-minute ferry ride from the mainland—with ferry travel reimbursed—the school offers a calm and supportive work environment.

Applicants for these positions must possess:Health and Physical Education Prep-Year 6Ability to plan, teach, assess and report on all aspects of the HPE Achievement Standards for Prep - Year 6.Ability to create engaging learning experiences that build children's physical developmental skills as well as their mental and social emotional wellbeing.Knowledge of or ability to organise students' participation in districts sports events, cross country, sports days and swimming.Year 6 Classroom TeacherAbility to quickly build and develop strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, ensuring effective communication and fostering collaboration within the school community.Strong behaviour management skills to maintain a positive classroom culture.A relevant teaching qualification.Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland.Working rights in Australia, which means you have, or you are eligible to obtain a valid Australian Visa with work rights.How to apply:Click the Green 'Apply online' button belowAttach your current resume including contact details of two professional refereesPre-service teachers and graduates are encouraged to include completed practicum reports, mentor/referee statements, and unofficial academic transcripts for current course of study.
