Food Technologist

Our food manufacturing client is exclusively partnering with mfg.
Talent to recruit an experienced Food Technologist to join their technical team, working across beverages, sauces and marinades.
Please note: this role is based in Regional Victoria – please only apply if you have the ability to relocate or live in the Albury/Wodonga area.
This role cannot be completed remotely or working from home – it is a site-based role. Your strong product development experience in food manufacturing will see you play an integral role in working on both new and existing NPD projects and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to manage the entire development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Formulate and develop new productsEvaluate raw materials and ingredients for functionality, suitability and qualityConduct bench top, pilot plant and factory trialsPrepare relevant documentation such as recipes, specifications and process instructionsIdentify and implement improvements in product design, processes and cost of goodsProactively support the stage & gate process to provide excellence in project deliveryDevelop flavours, inclusions and additives for new productsLead the technical aspects of product development through the investigation, planning, execution and reporting on new product / process developmentsCoordinate with the quality team on shelf life and stability studiesTo be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate: Tertiary qualification, with a degree in food science or related disciplineSound level of commercial acumen and Australian standards relating to food technology and qualitySound knowledge of flavour development and stabiliser technologyExperience working in both pilot and production environment trialsAbility to stay abreast of current technologies used by the wider industry both locally and overseasStrong ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders both internal and externalExceptional communication and presentation skillsIn return our client can offer: Excellent salary + superannuation + BonusStrong employee benefits programRoom for growth and developmentExciting new products in planning for 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
