Hybrid Working Environment | Flexibility Options AvailableWorking as a Lawyer in our team, you'll provide strategic legal guidance to our Insurance Advisory team, ensuring that Suncorp's interests are protected in a complex regulatory environment. Your advice will be central to product development, regulatory compliance, and distribution, enabling our business to adapt, innovate, and comply with key regulatory standards.
What You'll Do Provide high-quality legal advice on insurance products, including policy wording, disclosure statements, and contractual documentationGuide the team on compliance with financial services legislation and obligations under privacy lawsPartner with stakeholders on national campaigns, supporting digital distribution and electronic delivery modelsAdvise on regulatory matters involving ASIC and APRA, driving best practices in risk managementMentor junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environmentWhat You'll Bring Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court6+ years of relevant post-admission experience, preferably within financial services law, insurance, or a top-tier law firmProficiency in legal issues surrounding insurance and compliance with the Insurance Contracts Act and Corporations ActStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commercial, solution-focused mindsetExceptional communication skills, enabling clear and concise legal advice to stakeholdersWhat we can offer Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programsPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee councilAt Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
