The organisation is focused on innovation, commitment to their people, communities and the environment.The OpportunityDue to retirement, SunRice are now seeking their next Engineering Design Manager.
The outgoing Engineering Design Manager describes this role as a position that will constantly challenge you to grow, problem solve, innovate and deal with complex projects and strategies.You and your team will provide support to the SunRice Group Businesses through the delivery of Engineering Design Services and Standards, and they are going through an exciting and ambitious long-term growth phase with plans to invest, innovate and continue to diversify.Role Responsibilities:Working on the long-term strategic plan (10 / 20 / 30 year plan) across their global assets based in Australia, PNG, USA, NZ & VietnamProvide & Manage Engineering Standards and Design principles for the companyAct as a Company Representative on Statutory & Government regulationsSelection of appropriate solutions for Manufacturing ProcessesClose collaboration with the Project Delivery Team and Reliability TeamElectrical and Automation design, project delivery and technical supportProviding Energy & Sustainability audits as well as implementing sustainability projectsProviding recommendations on sustainability, process & plant improvements, strategic project analysis and manufacturing footprintAbout You:To succeed in this role, you will need:15+ years of Engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment (FMCG)Demonstrated experience and success in a technical leadership roleStrong multi-disciplinary knowledge and understandingExperience in Project Engineering & Management on major projectsStrong communication & collaboration skillsGood understanding of Australian StandardsContract Management & administration abilityThe ability to travel for work (when required)Desirable Experience:Grains / Rice handling designProcess DesignSite CoordinationBenefits to You:At SunRice, PURPOSE is at the heart of the organisation.
